Behind a wrought-iron gate on a quiet street in Roma Norte, Maison du Comte occupies a restored mansion dating from 1910. Originally conceived as a private residence, the house retains much of its original character, from its generous proportions and architectural details to the sense of calm that has become increasingly rare in the city around it.
Today, just six rooms are arranged around the courtyard garden and its mature tropical planting. Each is different. Art from the owners’ private collection sits alongside carefully restored features, while thoughtful comforts bring the house quietly into the present. This is an adults-only residence, created for guests who value privacy, character, and the quiet pleasure of slowing down.

From garden-facing retreats to generous king suites, every room at Maison du Comte has its own palette, proportions and personality. What they share is the feeling of staying in a private residence rather than a conventional hotel.
No Two Rooms Are Alike, Yet All Feel Like Home.

Served each morning around a communal table, breakfast begins with homemade chilaquiles, verdes or rojos, alongside eggs cooked to order. There is fresh fruit, granola and yoghurt, espresso and cappuccino, and warm pastries arriving throughout the morning.
What begins as breakfast often becomes something more. Guests exchange restaurant recommendations, compare notes from the day before, and share plans for where to wander next. Another coffee appears, conversations drift between tables, and the morning unfolds at its own pace.

A timeless place that has remained unchanged since the heyday of Roma Norte, Mexico City's most charming and delightful neighborhood.

Our street is one of the few in Roma Norte where you hear birds before traffic. Step outside and the neighbourhood unfolds in every direction: leafy avenues, galleries, cafés, parks, cocktail bars and some of Mexico City’s most celebrated restaurants. Condesa is a short stroll away, while Paseo de la Reforma and the city’s historic centre remain easily within reach.
Before you arrive, we share a curated guide to the neighbourhood. Once here, we are always happy to point you towards the places we genuinely love, whether that’s a long breakfast, a hidden courtyard, a neighbourhood cantina, or somewhere to linger over a late-night mezcal.
